Our Kojibar has entered a new chapter under the Juicy Marbles brand, as UMAMI BURGER, available in Tesco stores across the United Kingdom since December.
When two brands come together, united by a shared passion for innovative plant-based food, something truly delicious can happen. At Grashka, we are excited to share news we have been keeping since last summer: our collaboration with the Juicy Marbles team, pioneers of plant-based whole-cut meat alternatives who have been pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the plant-based world for years.
To offer their audience more than classic meat imitations, they expanded their range with our Kojibar, renamed UMAMI BURGER, a product with its own identity, deep flavour, and clear functional value.
What is Umami Burger (Kojibar)?
Kojibar / Umami Burger is a high-protein plant-based patty developed for modern consumers who seek flavour, nutrition, and versatility.
Ingredients and key benefits:
- koji fermented barley from organic regional production
- miso paste for a natural umami flavour
- a rich source of fibre and protein from quinoa, flax seeds, and sunflower protein
- 26 g of plant-based protein

How did the collaboration come about?
In recent years, Juicy Marbles has become a globally recognised name. Their plant-based filet mignon redefined consumer expectations. Through the collaboration with Grashka, they are opening a new chapter: a product that is not a meat imitation, but a standalone, complete plant-based source of protein and fibre, with bold flavour and a clean ingredient list.
Umami Burger on Tesco shelves
Since December, UMAMI BURGER has entered the international market and is currently available in 225 Tesco stores across the UK. This marks an important milestone and a clear signal that the market recognises the value of different, thoughtfully developed plant-based products.
Why this collaboration means more than just a new product
For Grashka, this partnership represents a concrete entry into the international market, confirmation that our development and production meet the high standards of global retailers, and further proof that products shaping the future of plant-based food can come from Slovenia.
New Kojibar: improved formulation and new flavours
Kojibar, an organic patty with barley koji, is now available in three improved flavours, with higher protein content and even better texture:
- Smoked paprika, 42 g protein
- Spinach, nutmeg, and rosemary, 44 g protein
- Porcini mushrooms, oregano, and black pepper, 42 g protein
In addition to patties, we have also developed Kojibar Minced, a crumble with 38 g of protein, ideal for pasta, fillings, and quick everyday cooking.
All Grashka products are 100 percent plant-based, made from regional organic ingredients, and produced in our own facility in Slovenia.

Where can you buy Kojibar?
